Mark Martin

Mark Martin has worked in the areas of emergency preparedness, emergency operations, law enforcement and leadership training for over 50 years. He began his career with the Summit County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio and eventually transferred to the fire service. He worked through the ranks of the fire service, ending his career as Chief of the Perry Township Fire Department in Stark County.

He received his Master’s in Public Administration in 1996 from the University of Akron. He has taught leadership classes at the State and Federal level.

He served as the President of the Ohio Fire Chiefs’ Association and is a Credentialed Chief Officer with the Ohio Fire Chiefs’ Association.

He has received numerous recognitions during his career to include: Distinguished Service Award – Ohio Fire Chiefs’ Association, People of Character Award – Stark County, Fellow’s Inductee – Ohio Fire & Emergency services Foundation and Alumni Hall of Fame Inductee – Stark State College.
