Computerized polygraph is digital, which means that there
is a high signal to noise ratio making it very sensitive to physiological
responses. In addition, the integrity of the data from the original examination is easily preserved on the hard drive, or by transfer to disk storage.A properly adjusted and calibrated analog instrument may serve the Polygraphist equally as well. When examinations are conducted outside of our office, both instruments are typically available for use. One is used as a "back-up" for the other.
Computerized polygraph instruments allow the examiner to configure charts and graphs for display and comparison purposes. This can be useful when compiling data and presenting charts before a judge, jury or arbitrator.
