Professional and Personal Biography Mark C. Frey is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and an ex IRS agent. As a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) he has the ability to identify an entity's vulnerability to fraud, examine data and records to detect and trace fraudulent transactions, interview personnel to obtain information, write fraud examination reports, advise clients about findings, testify at trial, and advise on improving fraud prevention and deterrence measures. He is also currently completing the requirements of a Certified Financial Forensic Analyst (CFFA), as evidence of his continued dedication to the fraud prevention and forensic accounting profession. The CFFA credential is designed to provide assurance to the legal community-the primary users of litigation support services-the designee possesses a level of experience and knowledge to provide competent and professional forensic financial support services. Earning the credential requires consideration of all of the person's qualifications and commitment to the discipline, which includes prior education and experience, prerequisite and required training, testing, and post-requisite requirements for recertification. Mark began serving his clients in early 1989 after having worked for the Internal Revenue Service. His time at the IRS allowed him the opportunity to develop his forensic and investigatory skills. While there he worked on a number of significant fraud and other high profile cases. His achievements were recognized repeatedly and he received four job related awards and was promoted five times within seven and one half years. Since leaving the IRS he has worked tirelessly to master the many technical facets of the finance and accounting world in order to assist clients whose situations require his skills. He is founder of Frey Financial Services Inc., which is located in northeast Ohio, but whose clientele cover a broad geographic area. His firm was established with the objectives to empower its clients through wealth accumulation, conservation, management, and protection. Frey Financial Services Inc. has strived to maintain these lofty goals over the seventeen years since its founding and continues to pursue both established and innovative means to provide client services. Mark, who lives near Canton, Ohio, has a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign, and a master's degree from the University of Akron. His wife of thirty-eight years, a registered nurse, is Director of the Division of Nursing for Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences. They have two grown children, and a much younger seventh grader who keeps the family unit lively and active.
